Behind the Scenes of Video Production

Creating a video production involves a lot of hard work and attention to detail. At our company, we take pride in every step of the process, from pre-production to post-production. In this article, we'll take you through the journey of creating a video for Petrus, a charity that helps homeless people in the UK.

The video showcases their show garden at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show!

Pre-Production!

Location Scouting

The first step in any video production is pre-production. This involves planning and preparation before the actual filming takes place. We started by meeting with the Petrus team to discuss their goals for the video, their target audience, and the key messages they wanted to convey.

We also scouted the location to determine the best angles and lighting.

Once we had a clear idea of what the client wanted, we began scripting the video. We worked collaboratively with the client, going back and forth until we had a script that accurately conveyed their message.

Meeting with the client

Production

With the script in hand, it was time to start filming. We worked with the Petrus team to schedule a day to film at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show. On the day of filming, we arrived early to set up our equipment and ensure we were fully prepared.

We filmed the show garden from a variety of angles, using different lens types to capture different perspectives. We also conducted interviews with key members of the Petrus team to provide context and insight into the work they do.

Post-production

Once we had all the footage we needed, it was time to begin post-production. This is where we bring the video to life and turn it into a cohesive story. We started by selecting the best shots and assembling them in a rough cut.

Next, we added music and sound effects to enhance the mood and tone of the video. We also color-graded the footage to ensure consistency and added any necessary visual effects.

Final product

After several rounds of revisions and client feedback, we delivered the final product to Petrus. The video showcased their show garden and the work they do to help homelessness in the UK. Our team was proud to have been part of such an important project.

At our company, we take pride in every step of the video production process. From pre-production to post-production, we work closely with our clients to ensure their message is conveyed accurately and effectively.
